History of the Center

Blazakis Special Care Center was established in 1977 by the psychologists John and Anna Blazakis. It operated for the first time in Palaio Faliro - Greece, offering services of daily care to children with special needs.(ie mental and psychological disorders).

In 1978 the Center was relocated in Glyfada - Greece, where it continued to run its programs of daily care, not only for children but also for elder individuals with special needs.
In 1987 the Center expanded its operations with the establishment of a boardinghouse, that offered a complete program of round-the-clock nursing for these persons.

Nowadays, our Center is one of the very few institutions, of the private sector, involved in the field of mental and psychological rehabilitation of persons with special needs. With the experience that has been gained, after a long period of work on providing care to disabled persons, we are able to lean with great sensitivity to the needs of these individuals and their families. Our aim is to promote the most complete and efficient programs of  rehabilitation for children and youngsters with special needs.
